Door Locks

Where are the emergency exits?

There are 3 emergency exits: the front door, the side door (onto 11th street), and the garage gate. Please familiarize yourself with these exits. Emergency evacuation maps are posted on the wall on each floor across from the elevator.

When the fire alarm sounds, or when otherwise directed to leave the building, stay calm and make sure other people in your immediate area are aware of the need to evacuate.

Take valuables (wallets, passports, etc) with you. Leave large items and bags behind.

Walk to the nearest exit and evacuate the building. Do not use the elevators during a fire or weather-related emergency. If you are in an unfamiliar area, follow the illuminated exit signs to the nearest exit.

Do not re-enter the building until you have been notified by the authorities to do so.

Use the Area of Rescue Assistance located just outside of the stairwell if you cannot use the stairs. Press the red button to phone for help.

When will my deposit be returned?

Deposits (after any deductions) are returned via mail within 21 days of your lease end date. Please provide the leasing office with your forwarding address and the name for the check before moving-out.

Smoke Detectors

If the smoke detector in your apartment is making a chirping noise, place a work order and we will replace the batteries.

If you cook often, please be aware that the smoke detectors are very sensitive. Make sure you open all windows and turn on the exhaust fan built into the microwave above the range.

Trash Disposal

Every floor has 2 trash chutes. It is located at the end of the hallway past the elevators. The trash chutes are only able to take small trash bags of 13 gallon or less.
All recyclable material should be put into the recycle boxes located in the trash rooms. Cardboard boxes should be flattened.
Do not put cardboard boxes or large trash bags inside the trash chute.
